    Westralian Gas & Power Ltd is pleased to announce that it with joint venture partners Lempika Pty Ltd (25%) and Emphazise Pty Ltd (25%) have recently been offered and accepted two offshore petroleum permits W05-21 and W05-22, comprising 4530 sq km, in the Vlaming Sub-basin.

  • Westralian Gas & Power moves into U.S. oil market 26th April, 2006

    Westralian Gas and Power Ltd has acquired to two producing oil leases in Kentucky, USA and plans to immediately begin seismic exploration and expand production. The historic Carter and Stockton leases are near Burkesville, Cumberland County – the location of the first recorded “gusher” in the US oil industry. The acquisition of the leases marks the return of Westralian company Chairman Peter Briggs and CEO Stephen Thomas to the US oil and gas industry.

  • New Drilling Reservation 13th January, 2006

    Westralian Gas and Power Ltd (WGP) has exercised its right to convert the Vasse Special Prospecting Authority (SPA) 2/03-4, Collie SPA 3/03-4 and Wilga SPA 4/03-4 into drilling reservations. The grant of these drilling reservations will allow the company to test drill each of these permits for Coal Seam Methane (CSM) gas.
